The Lair
The Bear’s Lair Brewpub reopened its doors to the general public on September 1, 2001 with a whole new look, a new menu, and over 20 different beers on tap. Operated by the same people that brought you Jupiter (1981 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley) as well as Triple Rock Brewery (1920 Shattuck Avenue, Berkeley), the Bear’s Lair offers fabulous pizza, huge oven-baked sandwiches, Big-bowl salads, and a variety of tasty appetizers. We have picked up where Pappy’s Pub left off, and created a new destination spot on campus.

On a daily basis, students, staff, and faculty frequent the business for the daily food and beverage specials. Check out Open Mic Nite on Mondays for some local talent. It’s standing room only on Tuesday and Thursday nights as students invade the pub for our popular Liter Night. Wednesdays is Logo Pint Night, and Friday afternoons all the campus seems to come down for the Friday Pitcher Special. If you have ever been here before or after a home game, you know this is the place to be! People come to celebrate their Cal spirit as the Cal Marching Band marches through on its post game visits. While Oski, the school mascot, shows up to shake hands and share a beer with the crowd after every home game.

Taquería Reyes is a family-run operation servicing Berkeley students for more than 12 years. Come to Taquería Reyes and enjoy the best in casual, fresh Mexican dining. Their portions are generous, the flavors sophisticated and their prices reasonable for all students. Everything is made fresh in-house everyday.
